At Explore + Discover, our infant program is designed to give your baby the warmest, most nurturing start possible. As a Maryland State Licensed early childhood school (MSDE CCLD 26.18), we understand that leaving your baby in someone else's care is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make.

A Typical Day in Our Infant Program
Every day is thoughtfully structured around your baby's individual needs — balancing play, learning, rest, nutrition, and consistent care throughout the day.
Morning Welcome & Free Play
7:00am – 8:30amYour baby is welcomed by a familiar, caring face at drop-off. Caregivers greet each infant individually and ease them into the morning with gentle free play and one-on-one interaction.
Morning Snack & Bottles
9:00am – 9:30amFeeding schedules are followed individually for each infant. Whether breastfed or formula-fed, caregivers follow your preferred routine and track all feedings in real time through BrightWheel.
Art & Storytime
9:30am – 10:30amInfants explore age-appropriate sensory and creative activities designed to stimulate their senses and support cognitive development — from soft toys and texture play to simple art and storytelling.
Stroller Walk
11:00am – 11:30amFresh air and gentle outdoor exploration. Our stroller walks give infants sensory stimulation, natural light, and a change of scenery that supports alertness and healthy development.
Lunch & Bottles
11:45am – 12:20pmA relaxed, nurturing feeding time where every infant's individual schedule is honored. Caregivers log all feedings in real time through BrightWheel so you always know when and how much your baby ate.
Nap Time
12:45pm – 2:45pmEvery infant follows their own nap schedule in a safe, calm environment. We follow all Maryland safe sleep guidelines, and nap times are logged in real time through BrightWheel for your complete peace of mind.
Afternoon Activities
3:00pm – 4:30pmMusic, gentle movement, and sensory exploration fill the afternoon. Caregivers engage each baby with age-appropriate toys and activities that encourage curiosity and motor development.
Afternoon Snack & Pickup
4:30pm – 6:00pmA final snack and winding-down time before pickup. Your child's caregiver shares a full daily recap at pickup — feedings, naps, milestones, and any notes worth knowing.
