At Explore + Discover, we believe that the quality of a child's experience comes down to the people in the room. That's why we are deeply intentional about who we hire, how we train, and how we support our team.
Every member of our staff undergoes thorough background checks, meets Maryland state licensing requirements, and receives ongoing professional development. But beyond credentials, we look for people who are warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about early childhood — people who will know your child's name, their quirks, their favorite book, and the way they like to be greeted in the morning.

Ben Costa
Our director brings 20+ years of early childhood and K–12 leadership experience and a Master's in Educational Leadership to Explore + Discover. He oversees daily operations, staff development, and family communication — and is often the first friendly face you'll see at drop-off.
